|Donnalee Lozeau was elected the 55th Mayor of the City of Nashua in November of 2007. As mayor she serves a four-year term, managing New Hampshire’s second largest city with 87,000 residents and 2,850 employees. Mayor Lozeau’s career in public service began in 1984 when she was first elected to the New Hampshire House of Representatives from Nashua’s Ward 5. During her sixteen years in the legislature, she became a leader on criminal justice, housing, healthcare and youth programs, while also tackling key issues such as kindergarten, school funding, juvenile justice, and the death penalty. As Deputy Speaker of the House in 1998, Mayor Lozeau was named to New Hampshire Magazine’s list of Ten Most Powerful Women. From 1994 to 2008, Donnalee worked as the Director of Program and Community Development at Southern New Hampshire Services. Collaborating with businesses, service providers, and government agencies, she helped develop hundreds of units of housing for seniors and the homeless, expanded child care and Head Start programs and established the Economic Opportunity Center to encourage financial self-sufficiency and assist with employment opportunities. For her dedication to community service, the mayor was recognized with the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce’s Eminence Award for Volunteer of the Year in 2004, and the United Way of Greater Nashua’s Max I. Silber Community Service Award in 2006. Mayor Lozeau, a third-generation Nashua native, attended public schools and Rivier College. She and her husband of 25 years, David, have three children and two grandchildren.
|Georgette Boudreau is the owner of Grand Graphics and Bridal Studio. She has a B.A. in graphic design/advertising design with minor in fine arts and arts and crafts. She founded a French Club with two goals in mind: preserving French culture and helping children in need. Over the years, Georgette has survived two different types of cancer. She began practicing yoga in 2007 through the YogaCaps "Thriving with Yoga Program" for those with cancer and their caregivers, and has been a faithful attendee ever since! In fact, she is in the process of becoming a yoga teacher, with the goal of serving cancer survivors. Of her experience with yoga, Georgette says "I feel that I have come home!".|

|SUBTLE YOGA FOR REJUVENATION... YOGIC WARM-UPS with Jay Gupta, accompanied by Richard Davis
Experience yoga as practiced by the yogis in Himalayas. After months of seated meditation in caves, yogis will warm-up and rejuvenate their bodies with this unique sequence. This will be a special treat for everybody before we transition into mat-based yoga classes, kirtan and/or meditation. It is very easy to do and extremely powerful on the subtle levels! Beginners will find SYR simple and rejuvenating as it is practiced standing or while seated on a chair. More experienced yoga practitioners use this powerful combination of Mudra, Bandha, Pranayama, Pratayahar and Dharana to deepen their training.
Jay Gupta, RPh, MScIM, MTM Specialist, RYT co-founded YogaCaps, Inc.. with his wife Terry to help serve humanity by sharing healthy lifestyle practices. Jay began his study of yoga in India in 1983 and has been exploring the depths of yoga since then. Throughout his life, he has endeavored to achieve a scientific understanding of yoga and has traveled from the Himalayas (India, Nepal, Tibet) to Kerala (southern most part of India) learning a variety of yoga and nature cure practices. Jay shares some of the practices from the Himalayan masters in his DVD Subtle Yoga for Rejuvenation and donates all the proceeds for advancing the science of yoga. Among his yoga training is certification from the renowned Bihar School of Yoga. He also serves as a community pharmacist.
Richard Davis will play live music for the Subtle Yoga for Rejuvenation class. Richard is a sought-after kirtan musician with more than twenty years experience playing guitar, harmonium, and banjo for chanting, as well as producing albums and leading kirtans. He brings an enormous heart and soul to his music utilizing his experience in Indian music, jazz, pop, and classical music. He was the musical director for several years at Gurumayi’s ashram in South Fallsburg, NY, and has accompanied Shyamdas, Gaura Vani Aks, Krishna Das, Karnamrita, Radhanath Swami, Robert Gass, Prajna Hallstrom, and others. In addition to his kirtan music, Richard holds a degree in composition. He has also been active in music for film, television and popular music, having orchestrated and composed for feature films and television as well as accompanying artists such Phylicia Rashad, John Denver, Lulu, and others. He is currently a professor of Film Scoring at Berklee College of Music in Boston. But devotional music is his passion, as he says, “Kirtan is an offering. For those of us blessed with the gift of musical talent, it is our opportunity to share this gift for the uplifting of the world.”

Barb Ducharme (on left) has led labyrinth walks and workshops in corporate, health care, educational and religious settings, as well as labyrinth tours in New England and abroad, and has built temporary and permanent labyrinths in a variety of public and private spaces. Drawing on her education in human development and expertise in curriculum design, Barb creates labyrinth experiences that impact individuals in profound ways. A founder of Labyrinth Guild of New England and longtime member of The Labyrinth Society, Barb holds a BA in psychology from Clark University, MBA from Simmons College, and EdM from Harvard University.
Mia Corinha (on right) first learned about Labyrinths from the well-known geomancer Sig Lonegren in the mid 1980s. Mia holds multiple advanced certifications in Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Language & Behavior Profiling, hypnosis, and life/work coaching and has a particular interest in combining these helping tools to design meaningful Labyrinth experiences. Mia is a past director of the Labyrinth Guild of New England and holds a BA in Theatre Art and English from Clark University (where she met Barb). She has led and co-led experiential labyrinth workshops for the Guild, the Labyrinth Society, and other venues in the US and abroad. Barbara Thorngren is a Professor and Peace and Social Justice Studies Coordinator at Nashua Community College. Most recently, Barbara has lead two international study abroad courses to the University for Peace in Costa Rica. As a former nurse, volunteer EMT/firefighter and current Reiki practitioner, Barbara brings an element of health awareness and healing to her work as an educator. Barbara graduated from Antioch New England Graduate School in 1993 with her M.Ed and has worked at the elementary, middle, high school and college levels developing and delivering a wide variety of courses. She has volunteered as the facilities coordinator for the Alternatives to Violence Project program at the NH State Prison for Men since 2001. Barbara’s work reflects shared responsibility and shared leadership, and is grounded in sustainability, community service and conflict transformation.
Paula Super has enjoyed yoga classes for many years. Presently, she attends class with Jay Gupta at the Merrimack Senior Center, where she enjoys chair yoga, laughter yoga and camaraderie with a nice group of people.

|Gurunam Singh will accompany Hari Kirin's yoga instruction with live music. When Gurunam Singh graduated high school he was given a guitar and began composing simple songs. At 22 he found Yogi Bhajan and Sikh Dharma. He sang and played along with others and over time began leading chants in the early morning hours, before the rising of the sun. He spent lots of time in the solitude of his own home, and in the Sikh temple late at night, chanting to God and writing devotional songs. Gurunam's influences range from gospel, folk and country to classical Indian raag and traditional Sikh hymns to many of the current artists who sing devotional Hindu chants. He occasionally studied with some great ragi's such as Bhai Avtar Singh, from India, and Dya Singh from Australia. But his music is very simple. Anyone can chant along.

|CHANTS FOR THE EARTH with Rajeshwari (Gretchen Carmel)
We will chant 6 powerful Ganesha mantras (one full mala/108 repetitions of each) to help our planet move towards a more balanced and peaceful vibration. Some of the principles we will be working with include: relieving energy blockages of wind, water, plant, bird, mammal and human; destroying negativity; correcting what is not working properly; bringing difficult circumstances under an umbrella of peace; bringing healing to a group; and asking for immediate assistance. This specific stack of mantras was created by Namadeva Acharya (Thomas Ashley-Farrand), as we will also be honoring the one year anniversary of his maha samadhi. All are welcome to participate. No previous experience with mantra or yoga is necessary. All offerings of Sanskrit Mantra with Rajeshwari are taught with love and devotion in honor of her beloved teacher, Namadeva Acharya (Thomas Ashley-Farrand). Namadeva Acharya made his transition on October 1st, 2010. He was one of the Western world's foremost authorities on the application of Sanskrit Mantra to life's problems.
Gretchen Carmel (Rajeshwari)-earned a B.F.A. in Dance Performance from SUNY Purchase in New York. After many years in the professional world of dance, Gretchen became a certified Kripalu and Vinyasa Flow Yoga teacher. She also is a Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist and a Traditional/Usui Reiki Master, as well as owner/director of THE YOGA SPACE in Keene N.H. Gretchen has been practicing, studying, and living Yoga since 1993. She brings to her teaching a high level of committment, love for her students, and the joy of mantra, inspired by her teacher Namadeva Acharya (Thomas Ashley-Farrand). Gretchen is a certified Instructor of Sanskrit Mantra and its application to life problems/situations, as well as, a certified Pujari/Vedic Priest honoring the lineage of Namadeva Acharya and Sanatana Dharma Satsang.

Adam 'Hari Om' Steinberg grew up in the suburbs of NJ spending summers in Deerfield , NH and hiking in the White Mountains of northern NH. Introduced to the physical aspects of yoga while attending Castleton State College in VT, it took reading 'Living With The Himalayan Masters' (& Krishna Das) years later to re-awaken the magic of yoga within. Practicing dynamic flow yoga for the past few years with Asa Dustin, David Breen & other teachers in Concord, Adam has settled into the joy of the journey and all of its offerings. A recent graduate of the 200+ hour level teacher training at Satchidananda Ashram in Buckingham, Virginia, Adam was initiated into Integral Yoga and it's teachings as taught by Sri Swami Satchidananda. To honor the traditional 108 sun salutations offered as part of the yoga mala, within our timeframe we will engage in 27 rounds of this warming and purifying practice. While this will be a challenging session, modifications will be offered and you can rest whenever you feel the need. Our practice will be dedicated to removing obstacles and recommitting all of our actions to Peace: peace with in ourselves, peace to our loved ones, peace to people we may be in conflict with, and peace to the world.
Elizabeth Vlangas, 500RYT, is the Director/Owner and primary teacher at Riverflow Yoga in Hooksett, NH. She has been teaching yoga for 7 years and has won the Hippo Press “Best Yoga Instructor” for the past 3 years. She teaches a vinyasa, or flowing style of yoga, which links breathe with movement to create strength, flexibility and balance. Elizabeth infuses all her classes with a sense of joy and fun. She grew up in Dorchester, MA second to the youngest in a family of eleven which helped shape her sense of humor.

In all cultures, throughout history and the world, people dance. For the initial part of this session, immerse in the graceful elegance and story of Indian classical dance depicted by members of the acclaimed Aangikam Dance Academy. During the latter part, Amy and our Indian cultural dancers will welcome YOU onto the dance floor to join in this tradition with dances from a multi-cultural folk dance background. We dance to celebrate ourselves, our connection to community and to the earth! Our dance can be meditative, joyful, profound and fun, bringing us closer to self and to others.
Jasmine Shah is a highly-recognized and accomplished dancer and professional stage artist. She has been trained in Bharatnatyam, Manipuri and Folk dances. Jasmine has organized various programs, many of which have been fundraisers and charitable events for a cause. She earned the designation of Roster Artist of New England Council of arts and also served as Arts Counselor and was elected by then governor Jeanne Shaheen. Her constant efforts to promote Indian Culture were recognized, as she was nominated for the prestigious title of “Woman of the Year” for the New England area. Indescribable relent is displayed through Jasmine, and her students, their parents, as well as those who know her greatly appreciate her dedication to the art of dance. Jasmine founded the “Aangikam Dance Academy” that teaches two styles of classical dances from India: Bharatnatyam and Manipuri. She also teaches folk dances from various regions of India. She teaches at 4 different locations in NH and MA. Over 125 students have graduated and have performed their “Nritya Nipuna”. The Academy takes pride in arranging programs for non-profit organizations for the purpose of raising funds for worthy cause. Academy has also arranged programs for the victims of earthquake and Tsunami.

Roseann Latona, RYT is an experienced, caring instructor with over 12 years of experience teaching yoga. She has taught numerous levels and varieties of Hatha Yoga to people of all ages in the Manchester area. A mother of 4 and a yoga practitioner for over 20 years, Roseann is certified by the Himlayan Institute and is the owner of White Swan Yoga Studio in Manchester, NH. Julia Morozova-Soto has been studying Yoga in the Iyengar tradition for almost twelve years. Early in her teaching, Julia realized that she would be a better teacher if she had a deeper understanding of human anatomy and physiology. She trained to become a certified massage therapist, which improved her teaching, as she was better equipped to explain to students the subtleties of asanas. Julia enjoys introducing a philosophical point during a class to challenge her students to apply it during their asana practice and daily life. Julia studies with Patricia Walden and teaches at Merrimack YMCA.
|RHYTHMIC YOGA FLOW with Doris Grillo
This Anusara-inspired mini-class of Hatha Yoga is condensed into just 45 minutes of "yummy yoga". We will flow through basic and moderate posture sequences, exploring the combined senses of our breath and body through movement - tasting the mind-body connection, flow to our natural rhythms and connect to all parts of our being.
Doris Grillo is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) and owner of Hollis Yoga. She trained with Todd Norian in the Anusara-inspired style and also completed the Himalayan Institute's 500 hour Advanced Hatha Yoga program in India. She's an energy sensor, Reiki trained by Lourdes Grey in the Usui Shiki Ryoho tradition-with initiation at the sacred Allahabad, India site by Pandit Rajmani Tigunait of the Swami Rama tradition. Masala means “spicy” in Hindi, while bhangra is a traditional folk dance from the northern part of India. Have lots of fun with these basic bhangra steps and Bollywood dance moves for a high energy, music infused aerobic workout that’s effective and easy to do for all fitness levels! Developed by Sarina Jain, the "Jane Fonda of India," and seen on the Today Show and the Dr. Oz show, this class will warm you up, work you out, and put a smile on your face!
Dani-Jean Stuart is NH's first Masala Bhangra Ambassador with a lifelong love of dance and cultural dance forms. Teaching Masala Bhangra Workout for over a year, she's been a student of yoga for nearly 40 years. She put her love of dance and yoga together as a Let Your Yoga Dance (formerly Kripalu DansKinetics) teacher nearly a decade ago. Now a member of the "half century club" she's taking it to the next level -- keeping active and staying fit into her 50's and beyond teaching Masala Bhangra Workout!
