Nashua Soup Kitchen Service
join our next service on Dec 21st...
volunteersContinuing the peaceful actions from our Global Mala project, we cooked and served our first vegetarian meal day at the Nashua Soup Kitchen on October 19.  We thank all the YogaCaps volunteers who, together with IANH folks, took the time on a beautiful day to make a difference: Anjali Longan, Cathy Mook, Elena Longan, Gopal Gupta, Joe Wallace, Josh Wallace, Karthi Chandra, Lori Wallace, Marthe Lowy, Sam Wallace, Sharda Gupta and Ajay and Terry Gupta.  Here are a few photos of the crew!  And though Rahel Limor could not be there in person, she heartfully arranged a CD of her uplifiting music to provide a lovely background for all to enjoy. We officially served 60 guests...and then some, as more folks knocked on the door while we were cleaning up. For a copy of the "super healthy carrot salad" recipe, please click here.

We also wanted to share this story: last year when Terry attended the first Nashua Multicultural Festival a woman named Barbara who had been visiting the table throughout the event helped her take the YogaCaps tent down. As it turns out, one of the late arrivals who knocked on the door to enjoy lunch was this dear soul Barbara...so, it was a happy reunion in this really small world! Full of angels all around us. Each of us serving the other.

We invite you to join our next day of lunch service on December 21 from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m., or 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., or for the whole time. Please email to let us know if you'll be able to lend a hand (or a recipe) for this holiday lunch!
