Through these pages we hope to offer information about various topics that support a healthy, simple and harmonious lifestyle.

In offering this section on lifestyle, we are not "preaching" and not perfect!  We are also engaged in and devoted to sadhana (practice). You are not going to be a yogi after reading this web site!  We are all sadhakas

That said, some of the things we strive to practice and share include:

Yoga philosophy, which contains universal truths found in most of the major cultures and religions. We see the connectedness and this is our perspective. We also teach a class on yoga history and invite you to contact us to learn more.


Respect for the history of yoga includes exploration of sacred texts such the Vedas, Upanishads, Bhagavad gita, Patanjali's book of Sutras, etc. Our informed practice today becomes a part of yoga's rich history!

Bhakti yoga, one of the paths of yoga, helps awaken the Anahata (heart) chakra and uplift our spiritual consciousness. The heart chakra connects the upper three and lower three major chakras, and, as such, has the special grace of uniting all beings in remembering our soul nature.

Conscious Cooking offers a workshop on six techniques toward a meditative style of vegetarian food preparation that nourishes all aspects of our being, as well as regular cooking classes.

Yoga asans, pranayam, yogic breath for proper breathing, and meditation all work in concert to bring strength and flexibility to help us surrender to the now.

The ancient Vedic science of Vastu helps us create living/working space in harmony with nature and our own energy fields.
