Conscious cooking and community supported agriculture

What is community supported agriculture (CSA)? This is a local farm that creates a relationship with community members who help support the farm and in return, receive fresh picked, locally grown, often organic produce. Some also offer members the opportunity to build 'sweat equity' by working the soil, weeding and cultivating crops.
