  Jeca Yoga

The name "Jeca" was a nickname given to Jessica Labbe's grandmother as a young child. In the spirit of her grandmother's own generosity and service, Jessica decided to open a studio that she could use as a vehicle for giving back to the community and helping to make the world a more peaceful place, one yoga class at a time. There is an urgency in our culture to do more in less time and that we cannot be successful unless we burn the candle at both ends. All of the little stressors can lead to chronic stress which leads to dis-ease and dysfunction in the body on a physical and emotional level. It can also dampen our spirits. Jeca Yoga is a place to go that gives you the time and the space to experience what it’s like to actually let go. This does not mean to do nothing. It means to allow without force. It’s about creating ease. Ease in your yoga practice, your thoughts and your entire life. When we can let go of our white knuckle grip on life, we make room for peacefulness. Jeca Yoga is a place for you to find your peace.
  Open Space Yoga
Located at 19 Factory Street in Nashua, Open Space Yoga, is a co-op of experienced, certified teachers who will be bending over backwards (literally) to teach that Yoga is truly for everyone and has an immediate effect on your life. Yoga may be a 5,000 year old science, but it has direct application in modern day-to-day living, and its benefits are needed today more than ever.

Yoga is not just for the flexible, it is adaptable to your individual needs and the benefits go way beyond the physical. Yoga is also for the emotions, the breath, the personality, and the mind, and changing one dimension changes them all. In these extraordinarily challenging times, yoga can help alleviate anxiety, high blood pressure, insomnia, chronic fatigue, depression, and many other conditions. It also builds confidence. When we are stressed, we cannot see clearly to find the solution to our dilemma. Yoga can get us unstuck.

Open Space Yoga currently offers a diverse array of classes. Please check our
schedule for specific class descriptions and special offerings throughout the year. Open Space Yoga is committed to making a yoga practice accessible to everyone – most classes are $10.

Our vision is to provide a peaceful space for students to relax, rejuvenate and awaken to the present moment. To promote healthy, healing movement that opens the heart and empowers the spirit.

  Sadhana Yoga School
Sadhana Yoga School is a place where transformation and growth occurs, where dreams are manifested into reality and where true friendships develop into a supportive community of like-minded people. We are an international training school where you can change you life and go to places to you have always dreamed of! Sadhana means “Daily Practice”. It is the daily practice of yoga that can lead you to self-actualization or spiritual attainment.

Our purpose to to create a safe and supportive environment where you are free to explore who you are at the core of your being. We want to offer you a space, in a place you have always dreamed of being, to take time away from your life and connect with the dreams that rest in the deepest part of your heart; waiting to be manifested into reality. Our purpose is to connect with the teachings of yoga to encourage you, to challenge you, and to move you closer to know who are you are.

At SYS we aim to keep the ancient teachings of yoga alive through a well-rounded program that incorporates yoga as the Eight-Fold Path, know as Ashtangha Yoga. We see yoga as a complete system and strive to incorporate the eight-limbed approach in all we teach and share for the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual benefits that are accessible through daily practice. Our training program involves the many facets of yoga including Asana (physical postures), Meditation (stilling the mind), Pranayama (breathing practices), Mantra (chanting of sanskrit) as well as the study of Yoga Philosophy though the ancient texts of Patanjali’s yoga sutras. We believe in the integration of yoga as lifestyle and offer our students the opportunity to live and study in community with one another and their teachers, while engaging in daily sadhana practice
.

And watch for the opening of Keene Yoga Center opening in summer 2014!
Seacoast Areas Teachers of Yoga in Action (SATYA)
Mission: To support teachers who are inspired  and committed to providing specialized yoga instruction in under-served populations. To provide resources which link qualified instructors to aspiring yogis in a variety of settings with unique considerations. To honor the many truths of yoga and its power to support the mind, body and spirit in all human beings.

“Satya pratisthayam kriya phala srayatvam"
As truthfulness (satya) is achieved, the fruits of actions naturally result according to the will of the yogi.
                                                                                              -Patanjali, Yoga Sutras Chii-36

Satya is the Sanskrit word for "truth".   “Sat” means the eternal unchanging truth beyond all knowing. “Ya” is the activating suffix which means “do it”. By this definition, satya is “actively expressing and being in harmony with ultimate truths”. For many years the Seacoast yoga community has come together in truth to first acknowledge and ultimately address need in our local Strafford, Rockingham and York counties. Free yoga classes, fundraisers for local charities and community service are a part of life our local yogis. SATYA was founded to grow these programs and organize yoga outreach in our community.

SATYA events support organizations that provide local fuel and food assistance.  Our programs build community and provide training assistance for yoga teachers who work with hard to reach populations.  Our dedicated teachers provide outreach to neighbors living with cancer, PTSD and mental illness.  We also reach seniors, teens, veterans, at risk youth, the incarcerated and people with disabilities.
